LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY, STEELCASE | GRAND RAPIDS

The Leadership Community is a C-Suite space for Steelcase’s Executive team..  An ecosystem of individual and team spaces were designed to support the team and welcome others into the space to collaborate and connect.  The project moved the executive team from an isolated wing to a new location on the employee and customer path to encourage informal interactions and allow for visibility within the organization and for customers.

Services included:

• programming, research, synthesizing data, mock-ups

• executive interviews and presentations

• concept exploration, creating narratives and visualizations

• space planning, schematic design, design development

• collaborating with architects and coordination with contractors 

• selection and specification of materials, finishes, furniture and lighting

• construction documents, installation, staging

• design of custom furniture elements, coordination with shops on fabrication

• curating plant, artwork, and accessory creative direction
