The garden benchwalls are designed to reinforce the spiritual connection between the gardens and the Temple structure. The design approach was to provide outdoor “rooms” for prayer in the nine gardens. The addition of the benchwalls allows people to comfortably sit, pray, meditate and remain physically connected to the Temple. This project is an integral part of the Garden, Terrace and Monumental Stair restoration.
